This August I will be joining the Survivors and Caregivers True North Treks in UP Michigan! As some of you know, I was diagnosed breast cancer back in 2021. During that time, things were still rough with covid so my husband, Mark, had to solely be my caretaker. It was a very isolating, lonely experience but we made it through. I was particularly excited for this trek since caregivers can come too. I think Mark deserves just as much of a retreat after dealing with the insane hardships we had to go through. 

Quick rundown on True North Treks. It is an organization supporting teens, young adults, and caregivers affected by cancer to find direction through connection. Although it is free to attend, True North Treks operates on a Pay It Forward model. So, every participant pledges to raise funds so that future survivors and caregivers can experience the same experiences free of cost.
