Hi everyone!
Last September I went on a weekend trip with True North Treks. TNT offers outdoor programs for young adult cancer survivors to spend time together and heal in nature. I went to the Walden Institute in the Upper Pennisula of Michigan.
I joined 7 other survivors and 3 staff members at a beautiful home on the cliffs of Lake Superior. It was a little slice of heaven. During our trip we hiked at a state park one day and at Picture Rocks National Lakeshore another. We also did yoga on the beach a couple of times, did mindfulness activities, had campfires, helped pick produce from the garden, and just spent time hanging out. We all shared our stories and created life long friendships.
To help TNT raise money for survivors to take these trips, they rely on donations. My fundraiser will help Pay It Forward so that another young cancer survivor can have a great experience with True North Treks!
